Jose’s view of economic development is holistic and ultimately aimed at bringing together people of different backgrounds, fostering relationships and helping businesses and residents realize their vision for an equitable and diverse community.

Julie Casault
Chief Operations Officer
Julie works with a wide variety of stakeholders to create tailored services that meet the needs of he local community. Julie’s diverse professional experience has helped BuCu West deliver unique community events, advocate for design equity and provide experienced based consulting to small businesses.
Where Business Meets Culture
Established in 1987, BuCu West began as a business association along Morrison Rd in the Westwood neighborhood of Denver. Today, BuCu West’s efforts extend to include promoting and supporting entrepreneurs, small business, cultural organizations and residents across Denver. BuCu West fulfills its mission by creating paths to ownership for predominately bipoc, women-owned, and immigrant-owned small businesses; providing comprehensive business support and access to resources; and accelerating business growth through the development of business incubators. The organization supports the creation and growth of more than 300 businesses annually.
